Crop Coverage Plans

  • APH/MPCI* - Traditional Bushel Plan

    Traditional bushel production guarantee.

    (APH yield x  desired level of coverage)

  • CRC* - Crop Revenue Coverage

    Revenue guarantee per acre with upward and downward price protection.

    (APH yield x desired level of coverage x higher of the Spring or Fall price)

    Maximum upward price movement 200%.

  • RA* - Revenue Assurance

    Revenue guarantee per acre with downward price protection; option to add upward price protection.

    (APH yield x desired level of coverage x higher of the Spring or Fall price; when Harvest Price Option elected )

    Maximum upward price movement 200%.

    No downward price limit.

  • GRP* - Group Risk Plan

    Provides a dollar amount of protection per acre, yield coverage basis.

    No individual protection, production guarantees and losses determined on a county basis.

    (Expected county yield x desired level of coverage = producer’s trigger yield)

  • GRIP* - Group Risk Income Protection

    Provides a dollar amount of protection per acre, revenue coverage basis.

    The maximum dollar amount of protection per acre is the Expected county yield x Expected price x 150%.

    Insured may select desired amount of protection per acre from 60%-100% of the county maximum protection per acre listed on the county actuarial.

    (Expected county yield x Expected price x desired level of coverage = producer’s trigger yield). 

    Maximum upward price movement 200%.

    No downward price limit

Sales Closing Date: March 15

Initial Planting Dates:

  • Corn: April 11
  • Beans: April 21

Final Planting Dates:

  • Corn: May 31
  • Beans: June 15

Final Production Reporting Date: April 29

Final Acreage Reporting Date: June 30

APH, CRC, RA & GRIP Prices:

APH - Spring & Fall Price - Selected percentage of the market price established by FCIC prior to 3-15 of current crop year.

1.) Spring (CRC, RA & GRIP)

         a.) Corn - Chicago Board of Trade February Average Daily Settlement Price for corn to be delivered during the month of December.

         b.) Beans - Chicago Board of Trade February Average Daily Settlement Price for Beans to be Delivered During the Month of November.

2.) Fall

         a.) CRC & GRIP

               Corn - Chicago Board of Trade October Average to be delivered December.

               Beans - Chicago Board of Trade October Average to be delivered November.

         b.) RA

               Corn - Chicago Board of Trade November Average to be delivered December.

               Beans - Chicago Board of Trade October Average to be delivered November.
