The 2022-2023 UDMO Back to School Program is designed to reduce the financial burden and assist low-income children and families within Webster County. Each year, school districts publish a list of needed Back to School Supplies to include an assortment of pencils, erasers, pens, crayons, markers, colored pencils, dry erase markers, highlighters, notebooks, loose leaf paper, binders, scissors, glue sticks, rulers, backpacks, PE shoes, pencil boxes, ear buds, index cards, Kleenex, scientific calculators, planners, USB flash drives, post-it notes, water bottles, etc. The cost of these supplies adds up quickly and for many families, it becomes difficult to afford all of these supplies, as well as, new shirts, pants, shoes and other essentials. This is more difficult for families with a limited household income. The Back to School Program increases excitement for the children receiving the supplies because they have everything they need to start the new school year.
